CORIA

To visit Coria, leaving from Termas de Monfortinho, we have to pass near Moraleja. You only have to drive about 40 km.

Leaving Termas, we have to cross the bridge over river Erges. 11 km ahead, we take the road direction to Moraleja (10.000 inhabitants). From Moraleja to Coria only 10 km more. The traveler will feel astonished by the monumental silhouette that the small city presents. The historical zone of Coria is wonderful.

The origin of the city is lost in time.  More than 20 towers, square and solid, surrounding the city, shows a typical Roman military architecture.

The castle, a building with only military characteristics, was built in the 15th century.

The Cathedral is the most significant religious building. From the Cathedral, we may have a marvelous sight of river Alagón and  a peculiar bridge of stone... without river, due to the detour that river Alagón suffered in the 18th century.

You have many monuments to visit, and, by night a lot of restaurants and bars to eat and drink something in the company of the "Joy of living" that only spanish people knows how to do it.
